Welbilt launches training sessions and tasting events for the Convotherm Combi Oven
New Port Richey, FL. – October 2, 2018 – Welbilt, Inc. (NYSE:WBT), a leading global provider of commercial foodservice equipment, today announces that Convotherm, one of its core brands offering a full range of combi ovens, has launched a series of free training sessions and tasting events for the Convotherm combi oven, the best performing oven in the industry.
Welbilt has been working closely with the American Culinary Federation (AFC) the largest professional organization of chefs and cooks in the United States, to develop training sessions that meet industry standards for education and training. The ACF accredits the Continuing Education Hours (CEH) for culinary professionals and thus validates the quality of programs offered. Chefs participating in Welbilt’s Convotherm combi oven training
sessions will be able to earn CEH credits.
“We are very proud of our partnership with the American Culinary Federation and are pleased to be awarded Continuing Education Hours for our Convotherm combi oven demos. We are confident that the world’s top chefs and premier chain operators will appreciate the unique properties of our Convotherm combi oven,” said Garamy Whitmore, CFSP, Vice President Sales, ACT & Strategic Accounts, at Welbilt.
Welbilt’s corporate chefs will demonstrate the unique features of the Convotherm combi oven, bringing to life the many advantages of the model. Chefs will have an opportunity to see the oven in action and sample all the food prepared. Each training session and tasting event will cover how to grill, roast, bake, steam and poach in one Convotherm combi oven and master more sophisticated dishes, how to increase cooking consistency each time with the Press & Go function, as well as how to clean the oven completely handsfree with ConvoClean+.
Chefs will also learn how to eliminate extra pieces of equipment that are no longer needed and how to segment specific cooking opportunities. In addition, Welbilt’s team will provide tips and ideas on how to lower operating costs by reducing water, energy and labor.
“As the culinary industry is constantly evolving, we at Welbilt always strive to keep up with new and emerging food trends and also actively shape the industry with our innovations. We work side-by-side with our customers and their chefs to train them on our latest innovative products, while going that extra mile to support their growth and tailor system solutions to meet specific needs,” added Garamy Whitmore.
The initial sessions are being held in Minneapolis, MN (October 3 and November 7) and in St. Louis, MO (October16 and November 27). For further information, and to register for a workshop near you, please visit: http://www.welbilt.us/Advance-your-Kitchen-with-Convotherm.
