Trying to Re-Boot

In Chicago, we're getting ready for the National Restaurant Association show, an annual event with upwards of 50,000 attendees from around the country, and about two dozen cocktail parties, meetings and meals, and about a million people to say hello to. It's not unusual for any of us at the magazine to have three breakfast events, a lunch, a couple of meetings, and two or three cocktail parties before dinner. And the after-parties, of course.
