Mourning a True Original

Today I learned of the passing of Charlie Orr, last month. Charlie was a true original, one of a kind, every cliché you can think of applied to him. He opened up the Maple Tree Inn on Chicago's Western Avenue in 1975, changing the menu to Cajun in 1980. It was the only cuisine with flavors as big and brash as the man himself.
